On The Job Training
“On the job training” is a time for employees within the first few weeks or months of a new job. It is a time to see if the person hired can handle the job assignments, learn how a company does business, and understanding what objectives are to be reached.
Entering the family of God by birth (John 3:3), one understands growing is essential. There is daily training of learning the will of God. There is a proper way to handle temptation. It is not the same way as it was when you were not a believer and follower of Christ. Each disciple learns the responsibilities and expectations as a Christian involve not only their relationship to the church, but to their family, job, government, and community. With this training, each Christian puts into practice what they learn. They learn patience as they grow. They learn how to love. They exercise self-control. Faith is increased. Courage is applied. This person who walks with Christ is being trained to be an example to others who desire to learn how to live closer to God. Each Christian knows this is their duty.
Being in the family of God is a matter of “working out your own salvation” (Philippians 2:12) as a “new creature” in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). God needs you to work in the kingdom of His Son. Be available. Do the work. Grow in the grace and knowledge of what the Lord wants from you in His church. Do not let His grace He has bestowed upon you to be in vain. Be prepared for the master’s use unto every good work (2 Timothy 2:21).
