Receiving Jesus is not a forced issue. He calls, invites, pleads, and knocks. How we receive Him, or if we receive Him, is left to us. As you turn the pages of the gospel, Christ was received in a variety of ways:

  • Some received Him into their house but not into their heart (Luke 7:44).
  • Some received Him into their heart, but not in their house (Matthew 8:8).
  • Some did not receive Him into their heart nor in their house (Matthew 8:34).
  • Some received Him both into their house and heart as Lazarus, Mary, and Martha (Luke 12:2). 
  • Regardless of how men have received Him, the Lord continues to stand and knock. The reason - every soul is the object of His care and concern - Even You!!
