Twelve Steps To Spiritual Maturity
- Recognition that God should be first (Matthew 6:33).
- Authority (2 Timothy 3:16,17). Refusing what I desire into what God desires for me will unify my conscience with the mind of God.
- Willingness (John 7:17). I will be willing to change, because I realize I need divine direction.
- Responsibility (Romans 6:16,17). I take responsibility for my life. I want to be an honorable vessel in His kingdom (2 Timothy 2:19,20).
- Transformed (Romans 12:1,2). I no longer allow the world to influence my actions. I will fill my life with righteousness.
- Commitment (2 Timothy 1:12). I realize that Jesus is the same. He is consistent. I need that in a changing world.
- Forgiveness (Acts 2:38; 1 John 1:9). If God has forgiven me, I should forgive myself.
- Hopeful (Romans 8:17-25). I live each day with hope that God will guide me to the place He has prepared (Revelation 2:10).
- Persistence (2 Peter 1:5-11). I will diligently build on my faith.
- Service (Matthew 20:28). Instead of thinking that others should serve me, I will be of service to others unconditionally.
- Gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:18). I am grateful for every moment of my life.
- Benevolence (Acts 20:35). I may not be rich, but I have a deeper satisfaction when I give, than if some gave to me.
