The BEST
The Olympics provides us with the BEST athletes in their field. Although not everyone receives a medal, you witness the BEST from all over the world. It seems in every Olympics, someone breaks a record previously held by another athlete. It makes you wonder how many more times records held by whom we thought were the BEST will be broken.
Which religion is the BEST? Why not poll those in the area in which you live to see. If you knew which one it was, would you immediately “join them” because they were recognized as the BEST? Some churches have decided to change their philosophies, worship, or means of salvation to an “improved” way to convince the public their way is the BEST. Sadly though, these “new-and-improved” ways are not God’s way (Isaiah 55:8,9). The BEST way is the ONLY way – through Jesus Christ (John 14:6).
How can you improve on the ONLY Son of God? How can you improve on the sacrifice of His Son for the sins of the world? How can you improve on His eternal plan for the church? Jesus is the BEST lamb God had. He was sinless, pure, holy, and without spot or blemish. There is no need for another Lord. There is no place for another Redeemer. You cannot do better than the Prince of Peace, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. What the world may call foolish (1 Corinthians 1:26,27), unto a true believer, Jesus is the BEST.
