At What Price?
If you were held captive, what price would someone who loved you be willing to pay to have you released - $10,000, $100,000, or $1 million? Once the ransom price was set, do you think those who loved you could pay it? If not, would anyone be willing to help your loved one come up with the ransom price?
Redemption is the payment of a ransom, the ability to provide liberty for a price. Jesus Christ paid a hefty price, His life, in order to redeem us. There was no one He could call on to help. It was all His to pay – for our release from sin (Ephesians 1:4-7). He is worthy of our praise. Honor Him with your obedience.
