Have You Heard The Words?
Do you know the words of salvation? It is not the phrase, “I want Jesus to come into my heart and be my personal Savior”! Salvation is not repeating what someone tells you to say.
The words of salvation are mercy, grace, baptism, faith, blood, cross, peace, obedience, gospel, justified, repentance, confession, and sanctified.
Do you know what these words mean? If not, how do you know you understand salvation and more especially that you are saved?
Peter spoke unto Cornelius “…words, whereby thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 11:14). Through hearing and understanding those words, Cornelius was saved. Have you heard the words of salvation?
