Change Your Mind Quickly

But each man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, beareth sin: and the sin, when it is fullgrown, bringeth forth death.
James 1:14-15

We are only a couple of months away from the halfway point of 2016. Have you put those resolutions into practice? You remember -- the ones you made before or after the first of 2016? Have you committed yourself NOT to go back and be or do the same thing in the past again? Has your interest in your spiritual life been one of those resolutions? Have you witnessed any changes? can you imagine six months from now how much better things would be if you stick with what you committed?

By now you have noticed how difficult it is to make changes, and how tempting it is to stop and go back to the way of life you were used to living. That is one of the deceptive characteristics of sin. Sinful desires always pretend to be good. Lust convinces us to buy the lie. Lust never tests its wants by what the Bible says. Lust never consults divine wisdom. It does not want to change anything. Lust likes where it is headed.

Beloved, we need to repent before we sin. Change your mind quickly before you are pulled into a direction which destroys you physically and spiritually. “Draw the line.” Most of you already know where the line is. You need to have the same intensity or desire NOT to cross it as you had when you DID cross it in the past. You will be blessed when you change your mind (2 Corinthians 7:9-11).
